Cape Province, named after the Cape of Good Hope, occupied more than half of the
South African territory. It included the homelands Ciskei,
most of Transkei and roughly half of
Bophuthatswana.Following 1994, the province was split into Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Western Cape and in part Northwest Province. |
