SOUTH AFRICAQwaQwa (1974 - 1994) |
QwaQwa means "whiter than white" and refers to the white sandstone cliffs
in the area. It was a very small territory in northeastern Orange
Free State, today's Free State.Qwaqwa was granted self-government in 1974. It ceased to exist as a political entity on 27. April 1994 and has been incorporated into South Africa. Its flag and license plates are no longer in use.
