All bases described below are still valid.

(A) 1942 Base: White on black porcelain. State name as "DEL" (top).
(B) 1947 Base: Silver on black stainless steel with riveted registration. State name as "DELAWARE" (top).
(C) 1952 Base: White on black. State name as "DELAWARE" (top).
(D) 1958 Base: Gold on blue. State name as "DELAWARE" (top).
(E) 1962 Base: Slogan "THE FIRST STATE" added (top).
(F) 1968 Base: Gold on blue, flat.
